Applications of BBa_K2087000
Used for the expression of S. pyogenes Cas9 sgRNA which hybridizes with Cas9 in order to cause a double stranded break in the DD96 gene found in humans. This biobrick was used to express the sgRNA in vitro using an In vitro Translation kit from NEB. The purified RNA was then hybridized with purified Cas9 protein, and incubated with a PCR amplicon of the DD96 gene. A bouble stranded break was observed on a gel.
